Lana Kerre is a visual artist and graphic designer. Her extensive experience as a graphic designer and formal training in architecture are reflected in her love of the delicate, sophisticated lines in her artwork, sometimes surprising even her:
“I am always amazed how simple lines and spaces create unique and often unexpected emotional responses in art.”
Inspired by the Dada art movement, Picasso, Miro, drawings by Jean Cocteau and Leon Bakst, Ms. Kerre’s calligraphic-like black and white compositions dance between realism and the abstract, focused on and emphasizing the forms and contours of the natural world.
Now living in the Pocono mountains, she captures its sounds and silence, its forests, streams and raw beauty in this, her newest collection “We Belong To Nature.”
